ari against the bug blizzard

the great tree has been infested with weird robotic bugs - only ari spider, pest controller, can clear them out...

a tower-defense/bullet-hell puzzle game for the bullet hell game jam 2023! avoid the bugs pouring from the nests while stringing your limited supply of electric web between walls to zap them. catch every bug in the wave to move on to the next level - there are sixteen to complete. good luck!

controls:

• WASD/arrow keys to move
  
• Z or M to attach lines to wall
  
• X or N to reset the level
  
• T to toggle music, Y to toggle sound effects
• P to pause

tips:

• ari is agile and can safely pass closer to bugs than you'd think
• pink-eyed bugs travel straight, green-eyed bugs take curved routes, and indigo-eyed bugs move in waves
• ari is invulnerable for a few seconds after each death: use this to start a new line
• ari gains an extra life for every level she clears
• lines will break if they touch a wall, so look for straight routes
• patterns often repeat: study them and look for safe places
